The Band

An amalgam of the Denver metro area DELLA puts a new spin on the scene with blues-inspired vocals backed up with a harmonic distortion that searches for the answers that have plagued our existences.  Why are we here?  Do we love to play music, or are we just trying to quit our day jobs?  We have yet to figure out exactly what the correct combination is but be assured that it is probably a mixture.  You can push a band in any direction but when it comes down to it…..what you write is what you write.  Our final product, for lack of a better explanation, isn’t due to some great inspiration; it is just what comes out.

DELLA formed in late 2008 from the three members of Kamarilla, a bartender, and a young lady fresh off the set of American Idol.  When it came to giving ourselves a name we spent months trying different combinations but could never get the democratic majority (a 3-2 vote as we do with everything) on a viable option.  We finally came up with an idea to use the first letters of our names and see what we would spell.  Being products of the public school system, the only word we could piece together was DELLA.  So for those of you that are wondering, it doesn’t stand for a former scorned lover, or a naughty word in a different language.  NOW YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!

We play in all venues around Denver because we love this city, but we also seek to spread the word to other markets.  We have done everything from headlining shows to birthday parties so if you ever have any desire for us to play an event, just ask.  Our influences range from Luther Vandross to Rise Against and we love to thrown in a out-of-genre cover.  We would love to get your feedback or see you at one of our shows so until then……….ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!
